Girls,
We took a little get-away to the Opryland Hotel this past weekend. You two LOVED it!!! There was an exhibit called "ICE" that featured scenes from the old movie, "Santa Clause is coming to town" carved completely out of ice. It was 9 degrees in there so we had to wear these large blue parkas. Virginia, Your dad and I were laughing so hard while trying to stuff your arm into the parka. It was wayyy to big but the sleeves were tight so in order to get your hand out we had to shove it up on your arm until you couldn't put your arms down by your side. We kept calling you "Randy" from "A Christmas Story." We also went to another exhibit they were having called "SNOW." It was really snowing there-actually really hard so it was freeezing walking there but you both had a great time. We really needed to get away and just have some good ole family time and it did just the trick. We had a room with a little balcony and I think you thought the room was about the coolest part. You could not have been sweeter. You both did not want to leave and then were begging to come back next year. I think next year we will try and go to the Rockettes as well. I am LOVING the ages that you are right now. We can pick up and go with little effort but you are both still so innocent and sweet.

Taylor and the ladybug
Girls,
This Halloween you two were a pair! I let you decide on your costumes all by yourself. Of course, Bibby, you had to be Taylor Swift and boy did you play the part. You even wore this enormous wig that I borrowed from a friend after she wore it to a party. Virginia, you had been really into ladybugs since your pillow pet came and when you saw this costume at Cracker Barrell nothing else was going to suit you. Bibby, you had the stomach bug and had to miss Trunk-or-Treat at church so Gigi took Virginia. I hated to miss it too but knew I had to stay with the one that needed me the most. Halloween night we went to a neighborhood party and then hit up all the family and a few neighbors around our house. We then came back home and you two loved passing out candy to all 5 trick-or-treaters that we had. I like Halloween for the mere fact that I can always picture you in your costumes. It is a way to remember how you looked when you were exactly that age. MB was an elephant, bumble bee, dorothy, princess and now Taylor Swift. Virginia was Snow White and now ladybug. Who knows what next year will bring!!!

Sweet Jackson
October 26th my sweet nephew Jackson was born and he is a doll!!!! He has a perfect peaches and cream complexion with a hint of red hair. He inherited his momma's abnormally long tongue and keeps it stuck out most of the time. I have yet to hear him cry. Between he and Mills I am loving the introduction to the world of boys.

Beach with buds
Girls,
We realized that no one was using the condo and Bibby you and Dad had Monday off so we hit the road for the beach. I had talked with some of our college friends a few days before and they were going to be there so we knew we had to get all the children together. There were 10 kids and MB you were the oldest!!! It was so much fun to see all of you together. Looking around Bethy's condo there was definitely a feeling of, "Whoa, how did this happen?" It seemed like yesterday we were in Ttown now we have a condo FULL of little ones! We always love taking you two to the beach and this was the best trip yet. You two could not have been better and we had no pack-n-plays, bottles or whining, just big girls. You both loved the sand especially when Dad dug a huge hole. I think you jumped in it at least 100 times, Virginia. Bibby, one of your best buds Emily's parents own a condo next door to ours and this is the second time we happened to be there the same time...you had a ball. One night we stayed on the beach forever crab hunting. We got reallly creative while waiting at dinner and had a contest to see who could eat a lemon without making a face. I hate that we aren't closer so you all could play more. We are just going to have to make the beach a tradition!!

Donuts with Dad
Virginia,
It was finally your turn. You were so jealous last year when Bibby got to go have donuts with dad and now it was your turn! You could hardly wait and go so excited to see Daddy in the parking lot when we pulled up. I don't know which one of you enjoyed it more. Great tradition at CWS.

Mills
David Milton Peek III or "Mills" was born September 16th at 7:42 pm and I have been in love since. We have never experienced the world of "boy" and I did not know what to expect but he could not be any sweeter. Kate and Dave let me be in on the delivery and even though I have been through it twice being in the room was like nothing I have ever experienced. God made this perfect baby and made my sister's body to where she could carry him, deliver him and nourish him; it was a miracle like I have never seen!!!!! I can hardly keep my hands off of him and when I leave can't wait to get back to him. I am so excited to have this baby in my life.

FIVE!!!!!
MB and Davis
Bibby,
Apparently I blinked at some point and you turned 5 years old. What on earth??? That is it. You are no longer a baby or toddler or preschooler---just a big kid!! You are such a fun little girl. You love life and are very mature acting. You are the last one in your kindergarten class to turn 5 and it has been killing you. Right now some of your favorite things are MAKEUP, clothes, Barbies, My Little Ponies, crafting and jewelry. By the end of the night now you have usually changed several times and have had a complete makeover. These days you are just my little friend. You love to do things with me....especially without Virginia. You have been working on writing lower case letters and sounding out simple words. You definitely have a flair for the dramatics and just the other day said, "I'm so sorry I have been acting like such a teenager." Have no idea where you got that. I love that you still love to be around me. Love for me to lay down with you at night and rub your back. Are too embarrassed to wear a hairbow but will sport some plastic "high-heels" with such pride. You had a swimming party with a water pinata. Papa said he counted 32 children in the pool! You have learned so much this year and went from complete terror when we asked you to put your face in to jumping off the board and swimming the entire length of the pool. This major accomplishment was what made you want to have a swimming party. Of course we also had a family gathering at our house the night of your real birthday that turned in to a Taylor Swift affair after Mammy pulled out the dresses she made to match the one Taylor wore in concert. Dad and I gave you a guitar that looked like one of the ones she played and You are such an incredible joy to your dad and me. The highlight of my day is picking you up from kindergarten and hearing about your day. You have our hearts little one.
