Virginia's happenings

Just some things I don't want to forget that Virginia has done lately

Tonight she randomly counted to seven.....in Spanish.....thanks Dora, the complete obsession may be paying off.

You have really started to use your imagination and when you are talking to your dolls you always call them "darlin" and use a baby voice.

You run up to me and say really profound statements, today's was, "Mom, I like mine eyebrows, Ok mom?"

You have completely branched our in your eating habits. You got so excited at the grocery because I got you a can of black-eyed peas.

You continue to copy any and everything your big sister says.....even if you have no idea what she is talking about.

You are helping Caroline's potty training right along by asking her to go so that you can get a prize when she collects her reward. If I ask you if you need to go you say, "No, I like mines diaper."

You still LOVE to hide and cuddle.

You get absolutely furious if anyone calls you a baby...."I not a baby, I big girl"

We got in a scrap today because I tried to convince you that Noah built and ark but you kept saying, "NO he not, he build a boat." You were having nothing of my explanation that it was the same thing.

You might be the cutest and funniest thing I have ever seen.....I could eat you up.

When I ask you to do something instead of saying, "Why?" You ask, "Beeeeecause???" It is the cutest little thing. You slump your shoulders when you say it.

Sitting at the dinner table you say, "I so tired dis weather!"

Snow

Girls,
We had a big day trip planned to Chattanooga this morning but we woke up to some fluffy white stuff. It was just enough to get out and play. Bibby, you woke up at 7:45 and by 8:00 were in full snow gear and ready to go outside. Virginia, when you woke up you wanted to keep your jammies on so I layered you up and then tried to stuff your feet (that now had the footie jammies and socks) in to your boots and you decided you would rather get in our bed for your early morning cartoon fix. You were happy as can be to stay inside. Once again, Bibby, you would ask Dad to make snowballs for you then would pelt him as soon as he handed it to you. You have been sitting by the fire now for 30 minutes drinking some hot chocolate....you have yet to mention Chattanooga!

The new phase

Virginia,
I knew it was coming I just wasn't expecting it to come with such force. We have hit the "I do'd it by mine-self" phase. It is so darn cute the way you say it but the fit that follows when we try to help.....not so much. I caught the nightly hand washing "by mine-self" routine on camera.

better late than never

Virginia,
I can't believe I am just now putting these on here but I couldn't go without documenting the big event! Your real birthday was the same day as the National Championship game (which Bama won and your father attended) so we did a small some-what impromptu gathering at Chuck-E-Cheese. Everytime we were in the Chick-fil-A drive thru you would point to the big Chucky and say, "My have my Chuck-cheese party." Honestly having a January birthday this wasn't such a bad idea. You loved it! Even Chucky. You wanted me to hold you when he was around but over all you had a blast. Some other highlights from the party were that Birdie took a pregnancy test in the restroom there (still not real sure what she was thinking) and it was POSITIVE!! We can't wait for that sweet baby!!! Also, everytime we went to Publix you pointed at the model of the Dora and Diego cake and would say you wanted it. I asked the lady how much it was when I ordered it and she said around $30.00 so I ordered it. When your dad went in to pick it up and came walking to the car with this enormous box and a receipt for 54.99 we couldn't help but laugh. Then we get to the party and put it on the table and you are SOOO excited when all of the sudden this little girl (from another party) walks by and tries to take a finger swipe of the icing!!! Needless to say it was an eventful day but what mattered was that you had an absolute ball. You are nothing but a joy to us and are still talking about your party.

Bibby Quote

"Mom, did you know what?.......I have been coughing my whole entire 4 year old life!!!"

B-You have the flu and have been pitiful. I think we got the tamiflu in you early enough to keep the really high fevers from coming back but since midnight Friday night you have had fever. Sunday after 104 and a two and a half hour doctors visit we found out it was for sure the flu. I am praying that you are going to continue to get better and Virginia doesn't get it. Everyone has brought you surprises and left them on the door step. You get sooo excited to open them. I knew you felt really bad when you said you didn't even want any cake!!
