Big wheels keep on turnin

Bibby,
I did the all night shift with grandaddy last night so today Daddy took you to Huntsville to "mess around" while Virginia and I napped. I was so surprised to see what you two came home with.....a big girl bike. Not some little tricycle but a real, can eventually take the training wheels off bike. You two always get something big when you are together but for some reason this was such a milestone for me. I couldn't believe how big you looked riding it. You and dad put it together and you were so proud helping him and making sure he knew just where to put the princess, strap on pouch for the handle bars. You of course took a good tumble and scraped your tummy but hopped right back on. We had a horrible storm right after you got the bike assembled so we had to clear out the den and let you do laps around the coffee table. You were so proud to hand you tricycle over to Virginia. All you have wanted to do is ride that bike!

15 months

Bibby loves to push you and make you laugh

I can just hear it in this picture, "Mama, mama, Mama"

You were looking for the bandaid on your leg from your shots

Virginia,
How on earth are you already 15 months old. I know that I say this after every check up but I can't believe it. You are at an age that is so stinking cute I have to suppress my desires to pick you up and squeeze the breath out of you several times a day. You are starting to talk a good bit. Actually, you talk continuously, we are just now able to make out a good bit of what you are saying. Some of your favorite words; baby (shocker), Bibby, bath, ball, Ca-line, Momo, Gigi, Mammy, Papa, Birdie, poopoo (you now come to me and tell me when you have gone while waving your hand in front of your face), juice, cheese, slide, shoe.....ok, that is enough. You are also very into finding your belly button. You showed Dr. Parmer where it was. You still love to give love. That is one of my favorite things in the entire world. You will sit for a long time, facing me with your head down on my chest and your thumb in your mouth just as content as can be. You are also obsessed with "big." I was calling it blankie, but you started calling it big because Bibby has her big and little and you copy everything she does. Just today you were trying to get water out of the fridge with a plastic tea pot just like she does for her millions of tea parties a day. This morning when I went to put on my sweater you came unglued because you thought it was a big. All day you have been pulling on it wanting it back. You walk with such authority. When you really get scooting you swing your left arm like you are having to propel yourself.....it cracks me up. You pretty much smile all the time and for the most part are really happy...especially when I am holding you. For some reason from the hours of 5 to 8 you pretty much want to be in my arms....that's alright, I know one day they will ache to hold you again. My little chunkanella you are such an incredible gift.

Proud...yes!!! Fashionista....???

the outfit of choice...could have been worse

Calling daddy and Lillianna

Bibby,
You came out of your room for the first time the other morning with clothes on!!! I could not believe it. Normally you stagger in to our room dragging your big (blanket) behind you and climb in bed for some cartoons. Not this time. You walked in so proud with the biggest grin because you had put clothes on all by yourself. I was so incredibly proud of you and so happy because selfishly I realized my life had just gotten easier (or so I thought). You now dress yourself everyday, somedays there has to be some major negotiating (bribing) for you to alter an item or two but for the most part you are just so proud that I let you wear whatever creation you have come up with. Yesterday you wanted your hair braided. I did two tiny braids on either side and pulled them back to where they met behind your head. You loved them, but you loved the crimpy look that was left when we took the braids out before bed. So, you guessed it, after much begging I conceeded and did your entire head before bed. Knowing that you didn't have school today and it was unseasonably cold we probably wouldn't get out and therefore not too many people would see your beautiful (nappy) curls.
