FIVE!!!!!

 MB and Davis

Bibby,
Apparently I blinked at some point and you turned 5 years old. What on earth??? That is it. You are no longer a baby or toddler or preschooler---just a big kid!! You are such a fun little girl. You love life and are very mature acting. You are the last one in your kindergarten class to turn 5 and it has been killing you. Right now some of your favorite things are MAKEUP, clothes, Barbies, My Little Ponies, crafting and jewelry. By the end of the night now you have usually changed several times and have had a complete makeover. These days you are just my little friend. You love to do things with me....especially without Virginia. You have been working on writing lower case letters and sounding out simple words.  You definitely have a flair for the dramatics and just the other day said, "I'm so sorry I have been acting like such a teenager." Have no idea where you got that. I love that you still love to be around me. Love for me to lay down with you at night and rub your back. Are too embarrassed to wear a hairbow but will sport some plastic "high-heels" with such pride. You had a swimming party with a water pinata. Papa said he counted 32 children in the pool! You have learned so much this year and went from complete terror when we asked you to put your face in to jumping off the board and swimming the entire length of the pool. This major accomplishment was what made you want to have a swimming party. Of course we also had a family gathering at our house the night of your real birthday that turned in to a Taylor Swift affair after Mammy pulled out the dresses she made to match the one Taylor wore in concert. Dad and I gave you a guitar that looked like one of the ones she played and You are such an incredible joy to your dad and me. The highlight of my day is picking you up from kindergarten and hearing about your day. You have our hearts little one.

CWS!!!

Gin-gin,
I can not believe that you finished your first day at Central Weekday School today. I swear it was yesterday that I was taking Bibby and your were kicking around in my stomach and now here you are.....strutting in like a big girl. I put you in the same dress Bibby wore and you really reminded me a lot of each other...well, all except the Sleeping Beauty stick-on earrings you added at the last minute to complete your ensemble. All morning you kept saying you were not ready yet and you would go another day. When we pulled in the parking lot your whole tune changed.....thank goodness. I think you were so proud to sport that princess backpack and walk in with Lina that you forgot to get upset. Your teachers said you had a great day and marked "played well with others," on your report sheet. Daddy picked you up from school and took you to the Corner for lunch and a cupcake. He said you seemed so big and were a perfect angel. Honestly, I really missed you today. I know that it was only 3 hours but it just doesn't seem right without my little bud next to me!

Kindergarten......ready or not here we come!!!

Bibby,
Today was a day that I have dreaded since the day you were born. I honestly can not believe this day is here. Your dad and I debated and debated on whether or not to hold you back but after prayer and encouragement from your teachers we decided you were ready. I, on the other hand was not. I had this urgent feeling of, "wait, wait....you can't possibly know everything I wanted to teach you and saw your entire little life flash before me. You woke up before the alarm clock with such excitement and ready to go. We got your clothes on (of course you did not want to wear the dress with the smocked crayons and apples that I bought with this day in mind probably two years ago..oh well) and you could not wait to put on your backpack. Virginia, you were not as thrilled about waking up early. You cried when we left Bibby that you wanted to go to kindergarten too. When we got you to your room you walked right in and put your things away. Dad and I hugged you goodbye and the minute I got outside the room I could no longer hold the tears back. The clock couldn't get to noon quick enough (you got out at noon the first two days). You ran out with the biggest smile on your face. You sat next to Abby and Mac at lunch and were so excited because you got to see Emily. You have the sweetest little class and I feel so good about you being at Eastwood and in Mrs.Hand's class.
