We just got back from a week at the beach and you two could not have loved it more. Mary Bibb, I could not believe the change in you from last year to this one. You weren't timid at all. You loved the ocean and would have stayed at the beach all day. You dug holes and built a castle and even walked over to a little girl your age and asked her to play. You were so polite and just seemed incredibly grown up. You and daddy swam after a group of sting-rays and caught a ton of crabs at night. You were such a big helper with baby Afton and Virginia. Most of the way home you would cry and ask when were going to go back to the beach. Little Virginia, you too had changed so much since last year. Going to the beach really made me think of how fast your little lives are going by. I had such sweet memories from last year of you sitting and running your fingers through the sand so unsure of what it was. Just sitting in one place and napping in a tent....not this year. You wanted to be in the water constantly!!! At one point dad said a wave completely took you out and you hopped up and kept going. You were such a trooper the whole time. I hope I never forget the way you looked in your sundress with those pigtails bee-bopping down the boardwalk! Dad did great in the triathalon and we had the most relaxed time with the Burnetts. I am so glad you both love the beach so much and can't wait to get back down there with you.
