Weather Makers

Bibby,
"When the temperature falls below 32 degrees the water droplets in the clouds freeze and turn into tiny ice crystals" was your big line in the kindergarten play. To say that you had a bit of stage fright may have been an understatement. Poor child, you worry yourself to death. I could see you when the curtains opened looking to the teacher backstage for encouragement and trying not to cry. By the night time performance you could no longer hold back the tears. I wanted to run up on the stage and get you it was so pitiful. But you sucked it up and nailed your line!!! I was soooo proud of you for conquering your fears. You honestly knew almost every line in the entire play. I could ask you what one of your friends lines were and you could tell me almost everytime. Virginia knew your line by heart as well and was so excited to see the play.

A trip to the park in pictures

I love this picture and wish I had gotten Dad in the shot because he was pushing you two really fast and you couldn't quit laughing

Soccer

Bibby,
This was our first attempt at organized sports and I would say it was a success. You and one of your best buds, Anna wanted to be on the same team and her dad was willing to coach but that meant you had to play up a league because of your August birthday. Well, I think since Coach Hardacre was willing to take you he got two others that were playing up. So with only 6 players on the team, 3 of you were actually too young for the league you may not have been the strongest team but you didn't care. You ended up having 3 goals for the season and could not have been more proud. Your last one you actually stole the ball from about midfield and had a break away long shot. When you made it you turned and looked at all of us with the cutest smile and of course we were screaming like maniacs.

Spring Break 2011!!!!

Girls,

This is your absolute favorite shirt in the world I had to have a picture because you want to wear it everyday
This was our first year with an official Spring Breaker so I really wanted to do some fun things. Bibby, you have been having some anxiety about school (why now when there is only a month left???) so I knew you really needed to kick back and have a good time. You put so much pressure on yourself to do well and not get in trouble. We were able to use the condo Wed through Sunday and had the BEST time just hanging out. The two of you never had a cross word and were really easy this trip. We had no diapers, pack-n-play or whining about sand being on you. The Gregory girls were there and one day all 5 of you dug for clams for almost 3 hours without stopping. Virginia, you seemed so big and really hung in there and had a ball. We don't get to spend a whole lot of time just the four of us so it was something your Dad and I will never forget. You all liked dancing on the balcony at night to Taylor Swift and dad would dig you a big hole with a "bench" in it to play in at the beach.  You were so excited when Gigi, Brucie and Uncle Michael came over for the day. Virginia, you talked Brucie into getting in your "cave" or behind the chairs canopy with you. Bibby, you and Michael looked like you were in serious discussion strolling the beach looking for clams. Dad and I both said it was a trip we will never forget.

American Girl Fashion Show

Girls,

You both got to participate in the American Girl fashion show this year. You were super excited and Bibby, you really couldn't wait to see your outfit. You ended up being a Bitty Baby twin with one of your good buds, Lydia. You got to wear PJ's. Your favorite part of the entire show was signing autographs at the end. Virginia, you were sooooo excited and really into it this year. You listened to every word (even though it was over 2 hours) and couldn't wait to do your part on stage. My favorite part was seeing Daddy, Papa and Uncle Dan in the balcony watching. Virginia, you were so confused by the raffle and knew for sure we would be taking Rebecca home with us and the end of the show. Good thing Gigi and Brucie pulled through a few weeks later with the doll for you and the outfit Bibby modeled for her.

Now we're rollin!!!!

Bibby,
I could not believe my eyes....today, you were waiting for Mer-Mer to come visit out in the driveway and I thought Daddy was doing yardwork, when I heard Mer pull in I ran out to meet her and could not believe my eyes; you were riding your bike...without training wheels!!!! We took them off a long time ago and have given it a shot every now and then but you have not been excited about it at all. Something just clicked today and you just got it. We loaded up in the back of the truck and went to Eastwood's parking lot...where I learned to ride to give you more space. Dad walked around right beside you the first few laps then your friend Hampton came by on his bike and you two took off together. He was so sweet trying to teach you how to get started on your own and by the end of the afternoon you had it down. You were so proud....and so were we. This has been the year that you have changed more than any other in your life. Started kindergarten, lost a tooth, learned to tie your shoe, learned to read, first spend the night out, starting soccer, won the science fair, school play....now riding a bike! I love watching you work at things and succeed. Virginia, you were really encouraging to her and had the best time "scootering" around behind her. You looooveee to scooter and sing while you do the sweetest--and funniest made up songs. I will blink and you will be peddling around yourself.

Holy Cow...my child is a scientist!!!!

Bibby,
You had to do a poster for this years science fair. Honestly, I thought it was a bit ridiculous that in kindergarten they were mandatory and included a hypothesis. Well, when we were pondering our topic, "Weather: friend or foe" your dad came up with the best idea to do a project involving....duck migration....what else considering hunting season was just coming to an end. The best is when he thought of the idea he said, "Bibby, do you want to win?" I don't think we ever thought that you would really pull it out....but you WON!!!! You were so excited when you got in the car to tell me they announced your name over the intercom and you had one FIRST PLACE!!!! It was perfect because you had really poured it on thick with the whining not wanting to finish the poster once you had started writing it all your self but you did...and it paid off. I then got a call from the office saying you had one THIRD in the Morgan County Science Fair. Your dad and I could not have been more proud. You were so gracious when you won and were so upset that Abby had not won because you were standing beside her when they announced the winners. Sweet Abby told you congratulations and you went and found Mrs. Hand and told her that Abby deserved a chip for tell you congrats. You have the sweetest class in the world....I honestly would have no issue whatsoever if you continued on with this same class until you graduated.

Virginia

How can it be that you are 3?!?!?! My sweet baby girl, you are at the all time-I want to freeze you because everything you do might be the most precious thing I have ever seen stage! We celebrated big this year. You wanted to have your party at the "Jumpy place at the mall" and so we did just that.  You were SO excited about your birthday and wanted everything princess. When the lady at the bakery asked you if you wanted a chocolate or vanilla cake you said, "both" child after my own heart. You also chose a "lovely" Barbie motiff for the top of the cake. You and Sissy are really in to playing Barbie's right now. Sissy, by the way is the only thing you call Mary Bibb these days and you came up with it completely on your own. You have some of the most adorable sayings right now. Some of my favorites are:

Instead of saying "have to" you say, "hav-er" ex: "Mom, come quick, you hav-er see this!"

Everytime you wet your pants just enough to where I have to change them...because you just don't want to stop playing you walking in the bathroom and say, "It's OK Mommy, accidents just happen!"

You love to telling how Sleeping Beauty pricked her finger on that "steering wheel."

You are still very much in to Taylor Swift and whenever you hear her song you pull the rubberband and bow out of your hair so you can swing your hair around like she does.

You have been standing with your hands on your hips a good bit which is pretty cute because you don't really have any hips and you hold your little fists higher than where they would be anyway.

You are obsessed with babies and your "pink soft-soft pillow" You have one or the other at all times.

You love to "cuddle-cuddle" especially since you got your token Christmas gift this year, a Dora snuggie.

Birth day

Your two-year-old birthday...yep, same outfit

You are such a joy to be around. I honestly miss having you as my little companion when you are in school. You say some of the sweetest things and go with the flow so easily. I take for granted that I never worry what you may do in a public setting or if you are going to pitch a fit. Don't get me wrong-if you make your mind up about something it can get pretty ugly but 99% of the time you are a happy-go-lucky little girl with a contagious smile. You are so sweet to look out for others and if someone is hurt or sick you really think about them a good bit and show genuine compassion. You love your new scooter but not as much as you love to watch cartoons. I bet if I let you watch continuously for a 24 hour period you could do it. Right now you love your pink cowgirl boots and if you aren't wearing those you have on your "running shoes" or white Keds but you think you can run and jump so fast in them.  You are still a chunkey-monkey and have just passed your sister in weight. At the doctor last week she was 45 1/4 pounds and you were 46. You are a pretty tough cookie and if you really cry I know that something is wrong. Everytime you wash your hands we have to sing the entire song, "We wash our hands to make them neat before we fix our tasty treat." Your bff is still.....and I bet always will be cousin Caroline. You have recently realized that maybe she has had the upper hand in this relationship the first few years and have been telling her, "You are not da boss of me!" You are the comic relief and can crack us up. I was trying to get on to you two the other day and you just kept saying, "Cheeerrrioossss" in a really deep voice and cracking Bibby and me up. I just made you a chart and if you get 10 checks you get a prize...but you have to sleep through the night to get them (you have been stalling at bed time and coming in our room at all hours). Daddy told you that you could not get up unless you had a fever, you threw-up or you had to potty. Well, the first time you came in our room you swore your throat hurt and you had a fever...the second time you needed to potty--you are one smart cookie. We could not be more blessed that God chose us as your parents. You make everyday better.
